We didn't know how we were going to break the news to Brianna and Joseph. How we're we going to tell them that their baby brother had died....that they would not get to hold him, play with him, or even grow up with him? Would they understand or were they too young? I was still in the hospital, when my husband brought the kids. They were excited to meet their baby brother. When we told them the news that baby Joshua had died, they both cried, and asked if baby Joshua went to heaven? We told them yes. They asked why? They cried again and said that they miss baby Joshua. Joseph asked if I still had another baby in my tummy. I said, "No baby. I'm sorry!" He gave me a look that broke my heart into pieces. How can a 4 and 5 year old really understand what all these meant, when I myself didn't?
